On the other hand, eating unhealthy foods or eating breakfast mindlessly can put a major strain on your overall body and health. With today’s hectic schedules, it is indeed tough to prepare a full breakfast meal abundant in healthy foods. Therefore, here’s a list of some breakfast recipes that take no time, can be prepared easily with minimum ingredients and are healthy for your body.
1. Poha
Poha is considered a light meal because of which people prefer to eat it mostly at breakfasts. It helps in easing digestion and prevents digestion-related problems such as constipation, bloating and others. Therefore, it can be an ideal and wholesome breakfast food for your daily diet.
Recipe To Prepare Poha
Take poha in a bowl and wash it thoroughly two to three times. Now, drain the excess water through a strainer. Sprinkle some salt and sugar over it, mix well and keep aside for some time. Now, take a pan on a gas stove, put some oil and let it heat. Add some mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, peanuts and a pinch of asafoetida into it and stir well. Add some chopped onions and saute until they turn brownish.
Now take some chopped potatoes and add to this mixture along with some salt. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Further, add a pinch of turmeric powder, and soaked poha into the pan and mix well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes and add some lemon juice and chopped coriander powder and give a final stir. Your delicious healthy poha is ready.
2. Moong Dal Cheela (Lentil Pancakes)
Moong dal cheela is considered one of the healthiest breakfast foods to binge on. It is nutrient-dense and super easy to cook. To prepare moong dal cheela, add one cup of moong dal (lentils), wash it thoroughly and rinse off. Now, take the washed moong dal, chopped ginger, turmeric, green chilli, and water and grind them together in a grinder to make a smooth paste.
Now add some finely chopped carrots and coriander leaves to the mixture and give it a good stir. In the next step, take a pan and heat it with some oil. Pour the mixture of moong dal into the pan and let it cook until it turns brownish. Cook both sides well and enjoy with coconut chutney.
3. Multi-Dal Dosa
It is an easy, no-fermented dosa made with a mixture of lentils, which are extremely healthy for our body and a great breakfast food. Add lentils of your choice to a large bowl and wash them properly. Let them soak in water for about 3-4 hours. Take the washed lentils, finely chopped ginger, green chillies, and cumin seeds, water and add them to a blender to form a smooth paste. Make sure to keep the consistency of the batter thick to prepare good dosas.
Now, heat a pan and add some oil to it. As the pan turns hot, pour some batter in a circular motion in the centre. Drizzle some oil on the edges of it and let it cook. You will see the side of the dosa turning brownish and crispy, cook the other side similarly. Serve with chutney.
